Medical Imaging News & EventsNEWS: Richard Terrass, MEd, RT (R) Named AEIRS FellowMedical Imaging program director Richard Terrass, MEd, RT (R), has been named a Fellow of the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences (AEIRS). The Fellow is the highest honor that AEIRS can bestow upon a member. This status recognizes a member's commitment and achievements in radiologic sciences education and to the profession as a whole. Specifically, it recognizes achievements on boards, committees, publications, speaking, awards, community service and as an educator. Mr. Terrass has actively served AEIRS in a variety of roles over the past eleven years. He served seven years on the Board of Directors, including two terms as Director-at-Large, President-Elect, President and Chair of the Board. He was installed as an AEIRS Fellow at the organization's Annual Meeting in June 2008. NEWS: JRCERT Grants Accreditation to Medical Imaging ProgramThe Graduate Program in Medical Imaging has been notified by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology ( JRCERT), that its Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Medical Medical Imaging has received accreditation. The fast-track, 17-month program was launched in 2004. The second cohort of medical imaging students will complete their studies in February 2007. |
